In the state of NSW to become a pyrotechnician you must be over 18 years of age, hold a current Unsupervised Handling Licence and have the necessary qualifications, experience and knowledge. If you become a member of our team we will assist you and train you so you will gain the necessary experience and knowledge. As a company policy we require all crew to hold a valid WorkCover NSW Unsupervised Handling License before starting with us. If you are interested in working with Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics, the first step is to send us:
1. Contact Details (Full name, address, mobile, email, date of birth, drivers licence #, etc)
2. Copy of Photo ID preferably drivers licence
3. Copy of WorkCover NSW Unsupervised Handling Licence or state equivalent licence
4. Resume/CV

Once we have all this information, we could invite you to work alongside our licenced pyrotechnicians on one of our firework displays as a trail. This pyrotechnician will be looking closely at your competency on displays and also your work ethics which will play a major part in determining whether we would offer you a position to work in our team. If we are happy with your work performance, then you will join our team and have the opportunity to work on some amazing fireworks displays as you gain more experience and knowledge.

If you are looking to gain additional skills, training and attributes to obtain in becoming a pyrotechnician with us here are a few things we look for when recruiting our new pyrotechnics:
First Aid Training & Certificate
Forklift License
Elevated Platform Training & Certificate
Basic to Senior Rigging Training & Certificate
Access to own vehicle or reliable transport due to variable worksite locations and work hours
A great work ethic and desire to work as a team.
